The 33rd European Film Awards ceremony, organized by the European Film Academy, was held over the internet this year due to the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak.

Thomas Vinterberg’s “Another Round” movie, which was selected as the “best movie” at the ceremony where the awards were found, won 3 more awards.

While Vinterberg was awarded the “best director” award, Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen was awarded in the “best actor” category for his role in the movie “Another Round”.

Vinterberg and Tobias Lindholm, writers of the movie “Another Round”, received an award in the category of “Best Screenplay”.

The “Best Actress” award was given to German actress Paula Beer for her role in the movie “Undine”.

Emmanuel Courcol’s “The big hit” was chosen as the “best comedy” film, and Alexander Nanau’s “Collective” was chosen as the “best documentary”.

Italian director Corlo Sironi’s “Sole” movie also received the “best debut film” award.
