In a statement from the Algerian Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Deputy Minister Kemal Rızzik Bekkay Jesus, Turkey’s Ambassador to Algeria Mahinur Ozdemir met with meteors.
At the meeting, the strengthening of relations between the two countries and issues related to common interests in the commercial field were discussed, and it was noted that “a proposal to establish a community of companies consisting of Algerian-Turkish partner companies in terms of access to many international markets” was made.
In the statement, it was stated that the Ambassador emphasized that his country continues to make efforts in various fields and is ready to expand cooperation.
The Ministry’s statement called for meetings between businessmen of the two countries to discuss new partnership opportunities after the Kovid-19 process.
According to the statement, Minister Rızzik pointed out that all conditions are ready to increase the trade volume between the two parties, especially with the African Free Trade Zone coming into effect in January 2021.
Rızzik also underlined the necessity of activating the Algerian-Turkish Business Council.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in a speech he made during his visit to Algeria earlier this year that the trade volume between the two countries was around 4 billion dollars and that this would be increased to 5 billion dollars.
