A written statement was made by the Nature Conservation and National Parks 15th Regional Directorate regarding the allegations in some press and media that a US citizen hunter was allowed to hunt wild goats in Tunceli.
In the statement, it was stated that there was no wild goat hunting in Tunceli, “In the last week, in various press organs and social media, the Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks Tunceli Branch will make a wild goat hunt for an American citizen in the Saldördek State Hunting Area of Tunceli. It was said that hunting for wild goats is out of question in Tunceli.
It was alleged that a US citizen was allowed to shoot mountain goats in Tunceli by the General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks.
Tunceli Mayor Fatih Maçoğlu made a post and expressed his reaction. Maçoğlu said the following:
“No life in nature is priceless for us … I am appealing to the person who will come to kill the mountain goat with his binocular gun and 50 bullets. Tomorrow I will be waiting for you there with the villagers and all sensitive friends”
